Finance, Performance & Information
Every year Parliament sets a resource limit for the NHS and each NHS organisation receives a share of that total to spend in delivering its responsibilities. It is expected that those funds are spent in full, but they must not be exceeded - this is our control total.
The purpose of this directorate is to ensure the development of a corporate framework for financial policy, planning and control in line with our statutory financial requirements.
Other specific responsibilities will include overseeing corporate performance management and the PCT estates and facilities strategy including the Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) programme.
The directorate currently includes strategic responsibility for Information, Management & Technology (IM&T) in the PCT, as well as implementation of the national IM&T programme.
