Patient Forums

Local Involvement Networks (LINKs)

We have been working closely with Hounslow Patient and Public Involvement Forum (HPPIF). We are working to enable changes in how health and social care services are planned and run. We at NHS Hounslow want to listen to people who use our services. To help us do this Hounslow now has a local Information Network or LINK as it is known - this builds on and replaces the work of the HHIPF.

The LINK is a network of local people, organisations and groups that want to make care services better by:

  • giving everyone the chance to say what they think about their local healthcare services - what is working well and what is not so good

  • allowing people the opportunity to check how care services are planned and run

  • feeding back to NHS Hounslow what people have said about services so that things can change for the better

The LINK has a range of powers so that they can say how local services should improve, including recommendations or reports and get a reply.
