NHS Health Check An NHS health team, including a doctor, will be giving free advice on how to stay healthy. Free NHS Health Checks are available to local residents aged 40 to 74 years who do not already have a health condition they are see a doctor for. However, all are welcome to the below checks except for cholesterol and blood glucose. |

Health inequalities event Noon – 4pm, 29 June 2010 Montague Hall, 30 Montague Road, Hounslow TW3 1LD Differences in health exist between groups and areas within Hounslow. In order to reduce these differences it is important that all feel able to improve their health and those with the poorest health are given more support. This workshop is an opportunity for you to have your say on how health and social care in the borough can best be planned and delivered to achieve this. A free lunch will be provided before the workshop from Noon - 12.45pm. Please contact email volunteers@hounslow.gov.uk or call 020 8583 5704 by the 19th June to register for a place on the workshop. This is important so that we can send you some background information. |

Deciding the shape of things to come – meeting in public |

| Almost 11,000 people and organisations have responded to our consultation on plans to introduce specialist stroke and major injury services. Most respondents agreed the plans will give all Londoners the best chance of survival and recovery. | ||
| What is the next step? | ||
A committee of primary care trusts will now consider all the feedback and decide how and where these services will be provided at a meeting in public. Papers for the meeting in public will be available on www.healthcareforlondon.nhs.uk |
