Stop Smoking for Ramadan...and then stay smokefree for good!
Hounslow Stop Smoking team will be at Hounslow Masjia Jamid mosque promoting their service during Friday prayers on 30th July and will also be visiting other local mosques across the borough during the month of Ramadan.
Ramadan is an ideal time for smokers to quit and many Muslims choose to use this time of year to stop smoking as they are fasting as well. A problem that many people seem to have though is that they may stop for Ramadan, but then return to smoking after the holy month of fasting has finished.
The most effective way for smokers to stop and stay stopped is with the right medication and motivational support. This is where our service comes in as people are 4 times more likely to quit if the use an NHS Stop Smoking Service compared to quitting on their own with no medication.
